काठमाडौं । अख्तियारमा मुद्दा दर्ता भएपछी मोहन बस्नेतको सांसद् पद स्वतः निलम्बन हुने भएको छ।

भ्रष्टाचार सम्बन्धी ऐन अनुसार भ्रष्टाचार गरेको कसुरमा बस्नेतविरुद्ध मुद्दा दर्ता भएसँगै उनको प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य पद स्वतः निलम्बन हुने भएको हो।

प्रतिनिधि सभा सदस्य बस्नेतविरुद्ध टेरामक्स प्रकरणमा बिहीबार विशेष अदालतमा मुद्दा दायर भएको छ। निलम्बनको सूचना सभामुखले संसदमा सुनाउनुपर्ने व्यवस्था छ।

यस सम्बन्धी व्यवस्था भ्रष्टाचार निवारण ऐनको दफा ३३ मा छ। जहाँ भनिएको छ, ‘…थुनामा रहेकोमा त्यसरी थुनामा रहेको अवधिभर र निज उपर दफा ३६ बमोजिम मुद्दा दायर भएकोमा त्यस्तो राष्ट्रसेवक सो मुद्दाको किनारा नभएसम्म स्वतः निलम्बनमा रहनेछ।’
